There are certainly major shifts and changes happening on our planet, so it seems clear now that the ancient prophecies linked to 2012 are definitely in progress. Earthquakes, volcano eruptions, tsunamis, fires, floods, tornados, and hurricanes, all happening at a much greater rate than we have seen in our lifetime. Perhaps Mother Earth is being influenced by the ever-changing energies flowing around Her in the cosmos and galaxies. I feel we are living in very interesting and exciting times, and I think it best in these times to pay close attention to our intuition, to educate ourselves well, and most importantly to be there as supports for each other. It is going to be quite the unique journey from now on.

We have included Ariana Sheran’s article, Mother Earth Gives Us Messages (p. 36), which is a good place to start educating yourself about the shifts happening on our planet. Although it was scribed in 1988, you will see how the messages are even more pertinent today. How amazing is that! As well, we have an excerpt from Lee Carroll’s book, The Twelve Layers of DNA, called Did the Ancients Know More Than We Know Now? (p. 40) in which he says yes those people did know about the changes that happen in the galaxy, that these shifts are a natural part of a cycle, and that it can all be explained by basic astronomy.

With this March/April ‘11 issue, we are completing sixteen full years. It is hard to believe that it has been a year since the 15th anniversary celebration. Life is definitely speeding up. I feel blessed to be able to continue providing this service and I thoroughly enjoy all the people I meet doing this work. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and the journal. Each issue we are always blessed with an abundance of articles and advertising that we share with you. We trust the contents help you find many ways to keep healthy, happy, and prosperous, and especially so during these times of great changes.

As the Earth is changing, so too is our food and water supply, which are vital to maintaining health and wellness. Some of the changes are extremely detrimental to these supplies, so it is important for us to pay attention to how our resources are being managed. In essence, we want to make sure we keep our food and water supply safe, wholesome, and healthy. This is where education, research, and community support come in. The trend now is to get back to either growing our own natural, organic food, and/or supporting organic growers who are able to produce enough food to share with others. It is from this latter concept that community shared agriculture (CSA) groups have come into existence. In this issue, CSA member Brenda Goldsworthy, has written about the journey that one farmer in particular has taken to be able to continue to live his passion for being on the land and to find ways to keep the food supply safe and secure. The article is called ECO Farm: Restoring the Connection Between You and Your Food (p. 20).

Continuing on the food theme, Sandra Brandt in her article The Subversive Eater (p. 12) says, “We are increasingly being exposed to food choices we probably didn’t know we had.” She adds that nowadays a large number of our commercial food sources are contaminated and frequently pulled from the shelves, so this would be a good time to consider other sources for your food, such as farmers’ markets, CSAs, and growing your own. After reading her article I was inspired, so to all those who are looking for healthier food sources, as well as a better way to treat Mother Earth, reading this article will feel like a breath of fresh air.

As you read on to all the other well-presented articles, I trust they will inspire you, and even better, they will bring a smile to your face, fill your heart with warmth, and help keep you safely and gently on the path of excellent health.

Just a reminder that April is Earth Month and April 22 is Earth Day. Although there is one month officially dedicated to honouring our Earth, I feel it is important for all of us to love Her, protect Her, and honour Her every day, for She is our life source.

May the coming of spring and the return of the light fill you with joyful inspiration, great expectations, and grace, beauty, and love!

Namaste
(The Spirit in me honours the Spirit in you)
