Volume 13 Issue 3 —September/October 2007

For the last several issues we have included a publisher’s notice saying that we will be combining the Nov/Dec ’07 issue and the Jan/Feb ’08 issue into a 4-month issue called Nov ’07/Feb ’08, which means we will not be publishing a January/February issue for 2008 only. Last year I was graciously asked by a dear 90-year-young friend to travel with her on the Maiden Christmas Markets Voyage of Cunard’s brand new Queen Victoria ocean liner when it makes its debut in December, 2007. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so I decided I would not pass it up. The ship leaves from England and stops at Rotterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo, Hamburg, Belgium, and then back to England for a total of 10 days. In order for me to be away in December I needed to combine the two issues. I appreciate your understanding and acceptance of this special change and my apologies for any inconvenience it may cause. I know for those who are advertising events in January and February, and even in early March, it may be a stretch to get everything to us between October 10 to 23, but I trust with this advance notice you will be able to find ways to make this happen. We will resume the bi-monthly format with the March/April ‘08 issue.

From my perspective, the most important thing in today’s world is for each of us to continuously improve our well-being physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and to take responsibility for maintaining our own good health. I think the key to achieving this is learning to heal and balance the whole self. In our feature article, Balancing the Whole You (p. 20), the author, Barbara Stahura, says that many tools for self-healing exist and she goes on to describe one program in particular called EMC2, or Energetic Matrix, which combines spiritual principles with subtle-energy physics and delivers energy via a sophisticated computer system to assist participants in healing themselves. The creator of this system, Stephen Lewis, realized that keeping one’s energetic field in harmony is key to both physical health and overall well-being. My hope is that this article will give you some stimulating food for thought.

On the same topic we have included an article which is excerpted from Ron Garner’s new book, Conscious Health, called “We Create Our Own Health” (p. 18). The truth is we do create our own health, and Ron says, “It means choosing health with understanding, awareness, intention, and vision.” He concludes that, “It is time to consciously incorporate the best of science, nature, and spirit to build the bodies and lives we were designed to create from the very beginning.” The author points out that it would be to one’s advantage to seriously consider the use of energy, or vibrational medicine, which is derived from ancient times, as one of the tools for healing in today’s world.

Wholeness and healing are themes that our journal is built upon, and the articles and advertising are tools that are available to help you on your journey of self healing. I have already mentioned two articles above but remember, there are more. As you read on you will learn about a recovery program that focuses on healing through gentle movement in Rosemary Kelly’s Lebed and Lymphedema article (p. 10), and you will be amazed to hear about one woman’s determination to heal herself in Multiple Sclerosis-Hope for Recovery (p. 16) by Chris Kelley. Then you will discover that science fiction healing techniques have actually become reality in Remi Valois’ Low Intensity Laser Therapy article (p. 14). If you have any curiosity about where inspiration comes from, be sure to read Doug Martin’s Channelling, Are They Speaking Truth? article (p. 32) and should you want to know more about the power of instant manifestation in order to improve your well-being then read Jennifer Watson’s ThetaHealing™ article (p. 12). Paulette Millis’s timely Tomatoes—Nature’s Bounty! article (p. 8) is filled with nutritional information and lots of recipes to help you maintain a healthy diet. Our natural world is changing rapidly and not always for the better, as Donald Sutherland points out in his article, Bees are Vanishing: Is This Another Wake Up Call? (p. 38). Finally if you want to get out and about there is The Maitreya Buddha Relic Tour (p. 37) in Regina and a Natural Health Fair (p. 28) in Calgary.

May the words in this issue inspire and uplift you and may you find peace in every step and feel love in every moment!

Until next time, stay well and happy

Namaste!
(I honour the Spirit in you!)
